This musical interpretation of James Weldon Johnson's 1927 classic collection of poems refigures inspirational sermons by traveling African-American preachers.  Acclaimed jazz trombonist Harris' interpretation transcends the sectarian roots of the sermons and focuses on their universal spirituality, reimagining them for a contemporary audience.
